The national capital on Monday saw another consecutive warm and partly cloudy day after a foggy morning. Northern Railway said six trains were rescheduled due to fog.
The maximum temperature settled at 24.5 degrees Celsius, four notches above the season's average, the Met office said.
"The fog led to large-scale disruption in service. The departure of six trains was rescheduled and 17 trains arrived 45 minutes to five hours late of their scheduled time," a Northern Railway official said.
The weather office said the minimum visibility on Monday was recorded at 600 metres. It forecast Tuesday morning will also be foggy.
"There would be shallow fog on Tuesday morning while the sky would be clear the day ahead," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 24 and 11 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Monday's minimum temperature settled at 12.2 degrees Celsius, five notches above the season's average while the maximum humidity was recorded 83 percent.
Sunday's minimum temperature was recorded one notch above the season's average at 7.6 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature settled at 22 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average.
