Warm, sunny Saturday in Delhi, similar weather Sunday

A foggy, chilly morning gave way to a warm and sunny Saturday in the national capital as the maximum temperature settled a notch above the season's average at 21.1 degrees Celsius. Similar weather is likely Sunday, the Met Office said.

"There will be moderate fog tomorrow (Sunday) morning but the afternoon will be sunny and pleasant," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.

The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 21 and 8 degrees Celsius.

Dense fog Saturday morning delayed 35 trains as the visibility slumped to less than 50 metres in the morning.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 8.2 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average. The day's maximum humidity was recorded at 100 percent.

The maximum temperature Friday was 20.6 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the season, while the minimum settled at a notch above the average at 8.2 degrees Celsius.
