Singer-actor Palash Sen was left surprised when Bengali actress Ritabhari Chakraborty proposed to him in front of a huge audience on the reality show "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa".
"I usually avoid promotions and parties because I'm not that kind of a person. But I came especially dressed for 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa' because I'm a die-hard fan of Palash Sen right from my childhood. On the show, he sang 'Maeeri' for me and it was such a sweet moment," Ritabhari told IANS.
"I again went to promote another film, and I said 'I love you' to him in front of everybody. He told me that he is taken so, as a compensation, I insisted him to sing for me. He eventually sang six songs and I danced. And he sweetly dedicated all the songs to me," she added.
Ritabhari said that Palash, one of the judges on the show, sang romantic tracks including "Ek ladki bheegi bhaagi si".
He also sang "Dekha na haye re socha na", and when the 'kadamo mein tere' portion came, he went down on his knees. She too went down on her knees and took the opportunity to say, "It might look filmy, but will you marry me? And he was like, for the next six lives, he's booked for me."
