Whirlpool of India Thursday posted 67.37 percent rise in standalone net profit for the first quarter (April-June) of the current fiscal (2014-15), a Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) filing by the company said Thursday.
The company posted net profit of Rs.83 crore for the first quarter compared to Rs.49.59 crore it clocked during the corresponding quarter in 2013-14.
The net sales of the company soared 19.18 percent to Rs.1,020.10 crore during the first quarter compared to Rs.855.89 crore posted during the corresponding epriod last fiscal.
The shares of the company were trading at Rs.412.55 per scrip, up 10 percent, in the BSE at 2 p.m.
