A woman was sentenced to five years in jail on Saturday for abetting the suicide of her mother-in-law here.
A person named Mani Chhabra had lodged an FIR at DLF Police station against his wife Aaloka Chhabra under section 306 (abetment to suicide) of India Penal Code on September 30, 2005.
The complainant had alleged that his wife Aaloka chhabra used to harass his mother saying she will implicate our family falsely for dowry harassment.
The prosecutor said the woman had jumped to her death from Sushant Tower under DLF Police station on September 30, 2005.
The court of additional district and sessions judge Aarti Goyal found Aaloka chhabra guilty for her mother-in-law's suicide.
