A 24-year-old woman on Monday attempted to commit suicide by jumping in front of a Delhi Metro train at the Guru Dronacharya station here, police said.
The woman, identified as Farad Nishad, has been admitted to a private hospital where doctors said her condition was stable.
The woman is a medical consultant at a private insurance company.
"The woman jumped in front of the train going towards Jahangirpuri at 7.45 a.m. Metro services were not impacted by the incident," a Delhi Metro Rail Corp (DMRC) official told IANS.
The reason behind the attempted suicide is not known.
On February 16, two persons similarly jumped before Metro trains in Delhi. While one of them died, the other was injured.
