Moscow, May 28 (IANS/RIA Novosti) A woman's body has been found in an abandoned refrigerator in eastern Moscow, the Investigative Committee said Monday.
The body of the woman, aged between 25-30, had been stuffed in a two-compartment refrigerator which was found in a trash container, a police source said.
The woman is believed to have died around two days ago, investigators said. Numerous bruises, abrasions and cuts were found on the body.
The fridge, wrapped in tape, was delivered in a light truck by three unidentified people who asked local workers for help in putting it in the trash container. They disappeared shortly after, witnesses said.
Police have opened a criminal investigation and are searching for the suspects. If convicted of inflicting injury leading to death, the suspects could face up to 15 years in jail.
