Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Tuesday said Yoga education will be included in the state's school curriculum.
"After inducting Yoga in the school education, 15-minute Yoga class will be conducted. It will boost the children's physical as well as mental health," the chief minister said while addressing people in Morabadi Ground here on the occasion of International Yoga Day.
"One can keep physically fit and mentally healthy through Yoga," said Das. He also performed Yoga with the people.
Observing that Yoga was an integral part of Indian culture, he said Yoga is a panacea in the fast life of the present-day world.
Das also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for getting Yoga acknowledged worldwide.
The main Yoga function was organised at Morabadi Ground and was attended by scores of dignitaries, including Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Dinesh Oraon, among others.
