Students and professionals will compete together in the genre of short films at the maiden Bengal International Short Film Festival (BISFF) beginning on September 7, organisers said on Tuesday.
"The festival will be competitive with cash prizes. There will be regular screening of 100 selected short films from September 7 to September 11 at Rotary Sadan auditorium. The idea is to encourage short film makers," said Biplab Chakraborty of Bengal Film and Television Chamber of Commerce.
The competition is open to both students and professionals and there are no separate categories, he said.
