How to make bikers wear helmets for their own safety and to avoid fatal accidents seems to be a question troubling many traffic authorities. In Mumbai, while the government attempted imposing the "no helmet, no fuel" rule at petrol pumps, in Indore, the rule is more in tune with the city's eating habits. It says, "No helmet, no poha," which the regional transport office authorities feel is a sure-fire way of getting people to abide by the rule. If not for the sake of safety, for the love of the famous breakfast snack made of flattened rice!
