Of molecules and money

At the recent BioAsia 2011 meet in Hyderabad, Dr Anji Reddy (pictured), founder chairman of pharmaceutical major Dr Reddy’s Laboratories Limited, said money was not the only criterion involved in the discovery and development of molecules.

As he pointed out, “Even if I have Rs 10,000 crore, I cannot discover molecules so easily. If that was the case the Sultan of Brunei could develop at least three molecules every year.”
