Before the new Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, entered his official residence, 5, Kalidas Marg, Lucknow, a battery of priests, specially called in from Gorakshpeeth, Gorakhpur, a temple headed by Adityanath, carried out a purification drive using ganga jal (water of the Ganga), gau mutra (cow urine) and raw milk. Adityanath, who had arrived in the city two days before shifting into his official residence on Monday, stayed at a VVIP guest house, waiting for the rituals to be completed.
