The Delhi Congress today responded to the Aam Aadmi Party AAP’s list of 18 conditions stating that apart from two, 16 of the conditions were administartive in nature and did not need the assent of MLAs.

Throwing the ball back into the AAP’s court, the Congress stated that it was in agreement with AAP over having a Lokpal Lokayukta and the demand for statehood for Delhi.

AICC incharge of Delhi Shakeel Ahmed said, “The other 16 issues do not require any agreement. All of them are administrative tasks. A state government, once it gets the majority, is competent enough to carry out such administrative function. There is no need to come to Assembly and Parliament on these issues.” Adding, that only on the demand for statehood and Lokpal they would support AAP, “We have said that we will support them if they want to make any changes in Lokayuka Act of Delhi if it is not contrary to any law passed by Parliament,” Ahmed said.

AAP had on Saturday put the onus on Congress and BJP for taking their support to form a government by putting forward18 conditions and eliciting the views of both parties on them. AAP has drawn flak for refusing to form a government despite support being extended to it both by the BJP and the Congress.

AAP leaders ie. Political Affairs Committee will meet tomorrow to decide the next course of action after Congress made their stand clear .
