"Article 370 of the Constitution meant for Jammu and Kashmir has many shortcomings and BJP is strongly opposed to it," National Spokesman of BJP Vijay Sonkar Shastri said here.
"If BJP comes to power at the Centre after the Lok Sabha elections, Article 370 would be scrapped," Shastri said, adding that the laws of the land are not applicable in Kashmir and this is wrong.

Further, alleging that proper arrangements have not been made at the camps set up for riot victims in Muzaffarnagar, Shastri claimed that many of the residents there have died due to diseases.
