Ambuja Cements today reported a marginal decline of 0.35% in cement production at 14.13 lakh tonnes (LT) in the month of August 2010 as compared to 14.18 LT for the same month last year.
The cement despatches remained stable for August 2010 to stand at 14.29 LT compared with June 2009.
For the January-August 2010 period, cement production stood at 136.65 LT, up from 127.08 LT in the same period of the last year, it said.
Dispatches for the same period stood at 136.47 LT, as against 127.30 LT in the year-ago period, the release added.
