Brokers move from Dalal Street to Cricket Ground

With the primary objective of providing a social networking platform for the Broking Houses, Bonanza Portfolio Ltd. and Asmah Shares & Stock Brokers Pvt. Ltd. bring together the greatest ever cricket league of the broking world- ‘Brokers Cricket League’.

16 Broking Houses would be participating in this league which begins from January 2 2011 namely Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd., Religare Securities Ltd.,  Karvy Stock Broking Ltd.,  Wellworth Share and Stock Broking Ltd., JMP Securities Pvt. Ltd., Bonanza Portfolio Ltd., Mansi Share & Stock Advisors Pvt. Ltd., Arcadia Share & Stock Brokers Pvt. Ltd., BP Wealth, SVS Securities Pvt. Ltd., Naman Securities & Finance Pvt. Ltd., Vishesh Capital Pvt. Ltd., Bakshu Securities & Brokers Pvt. Ltd., Saurashtra Capital Services Pvt. Ltd. , Rikhav Securities Ltd. and Asmah Shares & Stock Brokers Pvt.

This is the first ever cricket league being organized for share-brokers on such a large scale. These matches will be held at Thakur Sports Stadium, Kandivali (E).

Talking about the league, Mr. Satya Prakash Goel, Director- Bonanza Portfolio Limited shared the motive behind it. He expressed, “The primary objective of this league is creating a networking platform with a touch of entertainment. It gives us a huge platform to interact and mingle with our sector players. There is no business objective involved in this league.  In this league, we will experience healthy competition but purely for the sport.”

Atul Mehta, Director- Asmah Shares & Stock Brokers Pvt. Ltd., says, “This league is an outcome of the small time cricket matches that we have been playing from past seven years. After seeing the enthusiasm of several other broking houses to be a part of our matches, we felt it would be a great idea to plan a bigger event and create a networking platform for the share-brokers.

Ami Dedhia, a representative of Training & Employee Engagement Team at Bonanza Portfolio Limited associated with the organizing team, highlights that this league can be considered as the best example for an employee engagement initiative undertaken by companies these days. Such activities help to keep the employees motivated and in turn boost the morale of the employees.

The league will conclude on 9th Jan 2011 with a huge gala closing, where in the senior management of all the brokerage houses will be present. The closing will witness the prize distribution ceremony followed by words of appreciation from the top management and will finally conclude with a sumptuous dinner.
