ICSA Q2 PAT up by 13.13% at Rs 38.48 cr

ICSA (India) Ltd, which provides embedded technology solutions and infrastructure deployment services for the power sector, posted modest results for the quarter ended September 30, 2009.

ICSA’s Net Revenue has increased 1.78 % when compared with the last quarter of current financial year, from Rs 305.68 Crores for the quarter ended June 30, 2009 to Rs 311.12 Crores for the quarter ended September 30, 2009. Net Revenue has increased by 11.31 % when compared with corresponding quarter of the previous year, from Rs 279.51 Crores for the quarter ended September 30, 2008 to Rs. 311.12 Crores for the quarter ended September 30, 2009. The company has recorded revenue of Rs 4.60 Crores from power generation during the current quarter

Similarly, the company has posted a net profit after tax of Rs 38.48 Crores for the quarter ended September 30, 2009 as compared to Rs 34.01 Crores for quarter ended June 30, 2008, registering an increase of 13.13 %.The net profit after tax declined by 19.88 % when compared with corresponding quarter of the previous year. The PAT stands at Rs. 38.48 Crores for the quarter ended September 30, 2009 as compared to Rs 48.02 Crores for the corresponding quarter ended September 30, 2008.

Basic EPS stands at Rs.8.17 per share of Rs.2/- each as compared to Rs.7.24 per share of Rs.2/- each for the previous quarter of the current financial year, recording a growth of 12.84 %

Commenting on the results, Mr. G. Bala Reddy, CMD, ICSA India Ltd said “There has been a slowdown in our Embedded Products business in the last couple of quarters and the numbers reflect the same. We have also ventured into SCADA business which will give fillip to technology business going forward. We have been empanelled as SIA by PFC. Our Infrastructure business is doing very well and the order book has a higher contribution from Infrastructure segment.”

“A healthy order book to the tune of Rs 17.25 billion reinforces the company’s capabilities in the transmission and distribution sector. We hope to complete schedules in good time, to be one of the sought after companies in the Power distribution sector.  We shall continue the similar growth in the coming quarters as well.” said Mr. G.
