Impressive performance by Jyoti Ltd--FY10 Net Profit Up 73%

Jyoti Ltd., the Vadodara based Engineering major in the Water & Power Sector, has posted impressive results for the year ended 31st March, 2010.

Net Sales for the year stood at Rs.291.09 crores (Rs.253.33 crores). Profit Before Interest, Depreciation, Tax and Amortisation (EBIDTA) increased by 61% to Rs.35.57 crores (Rs.22.01 crores).

After providing Rs.21.10 crores (Rs.13.73 crores) for Interest & Financial Charges, Rs.2.41 crores ( Rs.1.96 crores) for Depreciation and Rs.4.01 crores (Rs.1.68 crores) for Tax (including Deferred Tax), the Net Profit for the year jumped by 73% to Rs.8.05 crores (Rs.4.64 crores).

For the quarter ended 31st March, 2010, Net Sales stood at Rs.119.85 crores (Rs.91.09 crores) while Net Profit stood at Rs.3.88 crores (loss of Rs.0.38 crores).

The Earnings per Share (face value Rs.10) for the year stood at Rs.6.20 (Rs.3.58)
