Young designers display their creativity at the annual interior design exhibition
A harmonic confluence of art, aesthetics, culture and nature was on display at Ideometric Warriors, the annual interior design exhibition of Department of Design, JaganNath Institute of Management Sciences (JIMS) Rohini Sec 3.
Exhibited at the India Habitat Centre, Ideometric Warriors is a two-day interior design exhibition that brings a new dimension to the concept of product/ project design. Present at its inauguration were many renowned and influential interior designers including Meena Mani, whose designs for numerous educational campus projects, office buildings and cultural institutions, such as IIM, Kozhikode and India Habitat Centre (to name a few), have been well accepted and critically acclaimed. She was also the judge of this event.
The annual exhibition provided an opportunity to lay open the minds of young designers from JIMS, an institute of excellence in the field of management studies and technical education. The students’ creativity and skills were reflected in their designs meant for interior spaces. Pleasing to the mind and body, the refreshing designs of JIMS’ students bore a harmony of color, texture, lighting, scale, and proportion.
Speaking on the occasion Preeti Batra, HOD, Depart of Design, JIMS Rohini said, “Interior designing is a multi-faceted profession that involves the aspects of both creativity and technical solutions. At JIMS Department of Design, we follow a well-structured curriculum that takes a student through the interior design process via a systematic and coordinated methodology. We lay stress on each and every aspect of the design process be it research, analysis or the creative rendition so that our students are able to understand better the needs and resources of the clients and offer them new and valuable solutions.”
