KEC International Bags Orders worth Rs 365 crores

Rs. 340 crores worth orders from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL); Rs 25 Crores worth order from Central Organization for Railway Electrification (CORE).

KEC International Ltd. (KEC), a global leader in the power transmission EPC business, has bagged two orders worth Rs. 340 crores from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) and one order worth Rs 25 crores from Central Organization for Railway Electrification (CORE), Allahabad

1. The first order worth Rs 185 Crores from PGCIL is for the Supply & Construction of 400 kV D/C (Twin) Kameng – Balipara & 400 kV d/C (Quad) Balipara – Bongaigaon Line (Part-I) associated with North East – Northern / Western Interconnector-I.  The line is to be constructed in the state of Assam 90% and Arunachal Pradesh 10%.The total length of lines is 127 Kms and the project is scheduled to be completed by November 2011.
2. The second order worth Rs 155 crores from PGCIL is for the Supply & Construction of 400 kV D/C Gandhar – Navasari Line, LILO of 220 kV D/C Kawas – Navasari & 400 kV D/c Navasari – Navi Mumbai Line (Part-I) associated with ATS Mundra Regional System for WR. The line is to be constructed in the state of Gujarat 90% and Maharashtra 10%. The total length of line is 251 Kms and the project is scheduled to be completed by December 2011.
3. The order worth Rs 25 crores from CORE, Allahabad is for Design, Supply, Erection, Testing & Commissioning of 25 kV A.C. Single Phase, 50 Hz. Traction Overhead Equipments, Switching Stations, Booster Transformer Stations and L.T. Supply Transformer Stations including foundations, structures and all ancillary equipments for Pathankot (Excl.) - Jammutawi (Incl.) station of Ferozepur Division of Northern Railway under RE Project, Ambala . The total length of line is 100 RKM / 243 TKMs and the project is scheduled to be completed by September 2010.
