1.47 lakh quintal sugar seized from Titawi sugar mill

Revenue officials have seized 1.47 lakh quintal sugar from Titawi Sugar mill for not clearing the dues of farmers, an official said today.
Following the direction of district authorities, the sugar was seized yesterday from the mill for not clearing farmer's dues of Rs 129 crore, District MagistrateKoshal Raj Sharma told reporters.
The official added that the sugar would be auctioned within a week if the mill does not clear the dues.
