One Hashim Uzma alias Manjul was arrested by the joint team with the help of Lucknow police during a raid at a house on Rani Laxmi Bai Marg in Kaisarbagh area, they said.
Manjul, a suspected militant was produced before a local magistrate which granted transit remand, police said.
A warrant had been issued by Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate in Ahmedabad on March 16 last in connection with murder of constable Vinay Yadav in Ahemdabad.
Waqar Ahmed alias Ali Khan, Amjad Ali alias Sulaiman, Mohammed Latif Saiyed and Izhar Khan alias Mohammand Ejazuddin were chargesheeted in the case.
Manjul, who was absconding, allegedly supplied the weapon with which Waqar had shot the constable.
Ejazuddin (30) and Mohammad Aslam (27), both suspected to be among the seven SIMI operatives, who had escaped on October 13 last from a jail in Madhya Pradesh were gunned down at Nalgonda in Telangana on February 4.
"A team led by an ASP has been sent to Telangana to ensure on what basis whether intelligence input or evidences, the local police was relating the terrorists who were gunned down with Lucknow ATM loot on February 27 when two masked assailants shot dead three persons and decamped with Rs 50.55 lakh," IG Deepak Ratan had told reporters here.
