1 electrocuted, 2 injured in J-K

One person was electrocuted while two others suffered serious injuries after they came in contact with a live wire at a shrine in Anantnag district of south Kashmir, police said today.
The three were repairing public address system at the shrine of Shah Asrar at Watnard village of Kokernag, 70 km from here, police said, adding, the incident took place when they accidentally touched the electricity supply line.
He said the trio suffered serious burn injuries and were rushed to a hospital where one of them, Farooq Ahmad Naikoo of Chatroo village of Kishtwar, died.
