The mishap took place when the driver of the vehicle, which was on its way to the school, lost control and it overturned, they said.
The driver fled the spot leaving the students trapped under the vehicle.
However, the locals came to their rescue and they were rushed to a hospital where Gaurav (15) succumbed to his injuries, police said..
The condition of the injured students was stated to be stable, they added.
