A 10 Gbps line between Guwahati and Aizawl is being laid and expected to be completed by this month to enhance Internet service in Mizoram, BSNL Chief General Manager North East-I Circle Kamal Kumar Saxena said here today.
During a meeting with Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla, Saxena said once the 10 Gbps line is completed, Mizoram could be connected with the submarine cable line.
Three lines to enhance Internet connectivity would soon connect Aizawl and Shillong, he said, adding that efforts were being made to erect more towers and improve functions of the existing towers to minimise call drops.
