100 fall sick after feasting at iftar party

Chief Medical Officer of North 24 Parganas Sukanta Sil said around 100 people fell ill after having food at an iftar party at Bankra near Birati last night.

Several of them complained of vomitting, nausea and illness, the CMO said, adding all of them were admitted to various hospitals across the city.

A medical team would be sent to the area tomorrow, Sil said.
