The Haryana government has decided to give 100 per cent rebate on property tax to serving defence or para-military force personnel and ex-servicemen or their spouses on houses owned and self-occupied by them.
This rebate will also be given to families of dead soldiers, ex-servicemen or ex-central para-military force personnel, an official spokesman said here today.
The rebate will be given provided they have no other residential houses and are residing there themselves and have not let out any portion of the house, he said.
A notification in this regard was issued recently by the Haryana Urban Local Bodies Department, the spokesman said.
