108-Mrityunjay Ambulance service declared as essential service

The Assam Government has declared the emergency response service running under 108-Mrityunjay Ambulance as essential service.
An official release here today said the government made the declaration through a notification issued on February 4 under sub-clause (ii) of clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section (2) of the Essential Services Maintenance (Assam) Act, 1980 and under Section 3 of that Act.
The order would be valid for a period of six months from the date of issue of the notification, the release said.
