TCS donates patient care system to Operation Smile

IT major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), donated an end-to-end patient care system developed for Operation Smile, as part of their CSR activity.
"TCS has developed and donated a Patient Care System to Operation Smile India and hosted the same on BSNL cloud server.
"The Patient Care System will enable a consolidated view of all patients treated and various interventions done by the team at the Guwahati Centre," Maj Gen M S Sandhu, Senior Advisor to the Board of Trustees said.
From the paper-based files to paperless web-based solution, the enhanced patient care system would provide seamless integration of various work flows like screening, surgery and follow up with real-time information, to assist the Operation Smile team to plan its activities effectively and efficiently, a TCS statement said.

Operation Smile, an NGO dedicated to providing treatment to children born with clefts, had conducted free medical evaluations for over 35,000 patients and provided free corrective surgeries to more than 22,000 patients.
