11 doctors commissioned as Captains in army

Eleven doctors, including six women, were commissioned today as Captains in the Army Medical Corps at a ceremony here today.
Major General Mukti Sharma, Commandant Command Hospital (Western Command) Chandimandir, called on the doctors, passed out from different medical colleges, to keep themselves abreast of the latest developments in health care system in order to ensure optimum wellbeing of patients.
Sharma said the profession of an army doctor is very challenging as it requires constant selfless devotion and preparedness to meet the demands of the armed forces.
She especially felicitated women who have chosen army as a career and congratulated their parents who motivated their children to join armed forces as doctors.
