11 held for murder, Rs 7cr heist at private firm's office

Eleven persons, one of them a local leader of YSR Congress, were today arrested in connection with the murder and Rs 7.31 crore heist at the office of a private security agency here last month, police said.
Unidentified persons looted Rs 7.31 crore from the office of Scientific Security Management Services (SSMS) and murdered its office in-charge P Srinivas here on June 24. SSMS was engaged in delivering cash to the ATMs of SBI.
YSR Congress leader Sridhar Reddy, the main suspect in the sensational case, is among those arrested, police said, adding Rs 2 crore in cash and a gun were seized from them.

Besides, two cars, seven cellphones and eleven bikes were recovered from them, they said.
The robbers had brutally murdered Srinivas, defaced his body and sprinkled chili powder on it. They hanged his body from the ceiling fan in the office.
