127 uniformed personnel selected for TN CM medals

Tamil Nadu government today said 127 uniformed personnel have been selected for the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Medals.
The medals are awarded for 'Outstanding Devotion to Duty' of the Police, Fire & Rescue Service, Prison Service, Home Guards and Finger Print Science personnel, a release from Home Secretary Apurva Verma said.
It said 127 personnel, including 100 from police department, have been selected for the award, which includes 'a bronze medal and a lumpsum grant according to the ranks.
Chief Minister Jayalalithaa will present the medals in a ceremonial parade in due course, it added.
