13-year-old girl molested, assaulted by 3 youths in UP

A 13-year-old girl was allegedly molested and assaulted by three youths under Gangoh police station here following which one accused was arrested, police said today.
The minor went away from home to collect fodder yesterday when the three accused, upon finding her alone, molested her, Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural), Jagdish Sharma said.
The girl was also beaten up by the accused as she started raising an alarm and protested their move, they said.
A few passers-by came to the victim's rescue and nabbed one of the accused identified as Sufiyan, while the other two youth -- Amit and Billa -- fled from the spot, police said.

Sufiyan was handed over to the police by the locals. A case has been registered against them and efforts are underway to nab them, they said.
