According to senior official, District Magistrate, South East organized a child labour rescue operation, which was coordinated with labour department and an NGO, Butterfly.
"During this raid 14 child labourers including a girl was rescued from 10 factories in Okhla Phase-III area," a senior officer said.
So far eight premises which employed child labour were sealed, remaining two factories are in the process of being sealed, the officer said.
"These kids were illegally employed by factories and after receiving specific information we conducted a raid and rescued the kids. They will be united with their family and strict action will be taken against employers," the official said.
Simultaneously, Delhi Police initiated action under the Juvenile Justice (care and Protection of Children) Act, 2000.
