Fifteen under trails and convicts in the Jalpaiguri Correctional Home successfully passed the secondary level Madhyamik Examination, the results of which were declared today.
"Out of the 15 successful candidates, three have secured first division, including one girl. They have been studying well and we are happy that they have succeeded in their endeavour," said Subhabrata Chatterjee, superintendent of the correctional home.
Chatterjee said the jail authorities would encourage the successful candidates to pursue studies for appearing for the higher secondary examinations.
