: A total of 16 persons have reportedly embraced Hindusim at Uzhavaoor in the district.
The reconversion ritual, organised by certain Hindu outfits, was held at a temple.
Members from six families adopted Hinduism at the function yesterday, the organisers said.
At least 58 persons, most of them belonging to Christian families, had converted to Hinduism at two temples in the district as part of the "ghar wapsi" (homecoming) programme under the initiative of Vishwa Hindu Parishad on Christmas day.
