2 arrested in Samba shoot out case

Two persons who were involved in a broad day light shoot out injuring a man in Samba district yesterday, were arrested today, police said.
Vikas alias Khatta and Munish Kumar alias Munshi, both are residents of Jammu, were arrested from a hideout here with the weapons of offence, a police officer said.
Khatta and Munshi alongwith a third accused came on a motor cycle and stabbed Pardeep Singh alias Tony with a sharp edged weapon and fired on him in Vijaypur area in Samba district and fled from the spot, he said.
Later, Tony was admitted to the Government Medical College hospital, Jammu, the officer said, adding a case was lodged in this connection.

The reason behind the incident is being investigated by the police, he said. Police have started a search operation to nab the third accused, Biku.
