Two elderly persons died and 18 were injured when a tractor-trolley was hit by a tourist bus on the Lucknow-Agra expressway in Uttar Pradesh's Unnao district, police said.
The accident occurred in the morning near Nasir Pur village in Bangarmau area, following which the tractor-trolley carrying 20 people overturned, the police said.
The injured were rushed to the hospital, where Gokaran (60) and Ram Kumar Sharma (65) died during treatment. The condition of seven people was stated to be critical and the others were discharged after first-aid.
The people was returning from the Lodheshwar temple in Barabanki after paying obeisance there and were going to the Berra Khanpur village in Bilhaur area of Kanpur.
The bodies have been sent for postmortem and the police are trying to trace the bus.
