2 women kidnap 4-year old boy, sells him for Rs 4,000

Six persons, including two women ragpickers, were arrested here today in connection with the kidnap and sale of a four-year old boy, police said.
The two women had gone to pilgrimage town of Nagore near Nagapattinam with one Fathima, also a ragpicker, who had brought her son and two-year old daughter with her a few days ago, police said.
While they were all sleeping in the dargha in Nagore, the two women kidnapped the boy and came back here. They then sold the boy to a man for Rs 4,000. The man's wife inturn sold it to another person of neighbouring Namakkal through a broker.

Police arrested the three women and three men, including the two men who bought the child and restored him to his mother.
