Sami Labs acquires two patents from IIIM Jammu

CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM), Jammu, Indian council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi and Sami Labs, Bangalore have entered into a tripartite agreement at Jammu.
Sami Labs acquired two patents from IIIM, Jammu and ICMR, New Delhi.
The agreement was signed at IIIM, Jammu by Ram A Vishwakarma, Director, IIIM, Jammu, Sadhana Srivastava, scientist ICMR, New Delhi and Muhammed Majeed, Founder and Managing Director, Sami Labs Ltd, Bangalore.
R K Raina, consultant to IIIM and Sarang Bani Director, Biological Science at Sami Labs and Abdul Rahim Head PME were also present.
"The signing ceremony shall mark the beginning of a very close association between his science based company and the prestigious research institutions like IIIM," Muhammed Majeed, founder and Managing Director, Sami Labs, told reporters here.

Majeed said he is in discussion with IIIM and ICMR for entering into similar agreements covering few more products of interest to him.
Vishwakarma, a reputed scientist in Drug Discovery, said: "IIIM shall be open to collaborative research with Sami Labs and offer the facilities such as NABL accredited Quality control lab and GMP production facility to be utilised by industry for the benefit of Pharma industry in the country.
