20 vehicles, machines set ablaze by Naxals in Chhattisgarh

Naxals today set on fire at least 20 vehiclesand machines engaged in mining work in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh, police said.
No one was hurt in the incident, which took place around 130 km from here, they said.
A group of armed Naxals raided theHahaladdi iron ore mining site under the limits of Durgukondal Police Station this evening. After asking the labourers and drivers to leave the place, they torched at least 20 vehiclesand machines engaged in mining work, Kanker Superintendent of Police Jitendera Singh Meena told PTI by phone.
The Maoists later fled into the forest, he said.
On getting information about the incident, a police team was immediately rushed to the spot, where they found 13 trucks and 6 Poclain machines (excavators), among others, burnt down, Meena said.
Last month,ultras had set ablaze at least 26 vehiclesengaged in mining work at Chargaon iron mining site of Kanker district.
