20-yr old shot dead in Palamau

A 20-year-old youth was today shot dead in his house in Redma locality in Palamau district, police said.
A group of car-borne assailants barged into the house of Anand Dubey and shot at him, Deputy Superintendent of Police, P R Burwar said.
A seriously injured Dubey was rushed to Sadar Hospital but doctors referred him to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences, Ranchi, he said adding that the victim, however, succumbed to his injuries on way near Satbarwa.
The incident seemed to be a fallout of a gang war as the victim, working in a private construction company, had criminal antecedents,

He had been to jail in connection with Arms Act and released on bail recently, Burwar said.
The district police swung into action immediately after the incident and arrested one Manoj Dubey, who was also a resident of Purbdiha while search for four others was on.
