21-year-old student dies after bus runs over him in Ghaziabad

A 21-year-old engineering student was killed after he allegedly fell from a bus and was run over by the rear wheel of the vehicle this morning near old Ghaziabad bus stand, police said today.
Aditya Tyagi, who was on his way to college in a private bus, lost his grip and fell from the foot board as the driver applied brakes suddenly and was run over by the rear wheels of the vehicle, SHO of Sihani Gate police station Ranvir Yadav said.
He was rushed to MMG Hospital where he was declared brought dead, he said, adding the body has been sent for post mortem and hunt is on to nab the absconding driver.

In a separate incident, a youth was run over by an EMU train while trying to cross the railway tracks at Old Ghaziabad railway station this morning, GRP Inspector Vinod Sirohi said.
The body has been sent for post mortem and they are trying to establish the identity of the deceased, he said.
