The incident took place around 7 AM when Rinki Sahni, who hails from Manipur, was in Nizammuddin area.
"Sahni was shot at by two bike-borne assailants, who were wearing helmets," said a police officer.
The officer also said that after the incident, he was taken to a nearby hosptial where his condition is said to be serious.
Few days back, Rinki's mother caught two snatchers in east Delhi and handed them over to police.
He also said that accused would be arrested soon and further investigation is on.
