Replying to a question of Congress member Jahangir Hussain Mir in the Legislative Council here today, Minister for Relief and Rehabilitation, Syed Basharat Bukhari said 29 village habitations, areas have been identified as unsafe following the floods last year.
"Out of which, three villages are in Poonch district", he said.
The minister said that the three locations in two villages in Chowki Choura and one location in Surinsar in tehsil Jammu are unsafe, Hamelt Saddal and its surrounding area of village Panjar in Udhampur district, Seri halmet of Tanda, Mansoo, Kanjli, Kundra, Dera Badu, Kansar devigarh, Channa (Tejhaar), Hasote areas.
The Minister further informed the House that 900 kanals and 5 marlas (112 acres) land has been identified for rehabilitation of affected families which includes 103 kanals (13 acres) in Udhampur district, 122 kanals and 2 marlas (15 acres) in Reasi district, 71 kanals and 13 marlas (9 acres) in Ramban district, 248 kanals and 10 marlas ( 31 acres) in Kishtwar district and 365 kanals (45 acres) in Kulgam district.
