3 bottles of expensive liquor with fake barcodes seized

Excise department has seized three bottles of 'expensive' foreign liquor from a banquet hall during a party here as they found the barcodes were duplicated.
"A team of excise department raided a banquet hall during a party and found the barcode of three liquor bottles are fake and the team seized them," said a senior government official.
The official said that each bottle costs Rs 6,000 and the barcodes on it was identical.
"The excise department will probe into the matter as per the Delhi Excise Act 2009 and Delhi Excise Rules 2010 and strict actions will be taken," the official said, adding that the department also registered an FIR.
