"Three deaths were reported today due to drowning in the flood-affected plain belts in the district," District Deputy Commissioner Pravin Bakshi told PTI.
The flood waters inundated villages following incessant rain even as the back flow of Brahmaputra and Jinjiram rivers have gone down marginally, officials said.
Bakshi said two persons were reported missing.
The DC said even though water level has gone down marginally, over 1800 persons are still lodged at the 26 camps.
Speaker A T Mondal, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Clement R Marak and Parliamentary Secretary Ashahel D Shira visited the camps and flood-affected areas.
Food distribution is being provided at the relief camps as the flood situation is still grim in many places, he said.
