3 held for murder in Jammu

Three persons have been arrested in connection with the murder of a man whose body was found under the bridge of a culvert in Akhnoor area of Jammu district few days ago, police said today.
The body of Sohan La (28), a resident of Akhnoor, was found under the Tacherwan Bridge few days ago following which the police registered a case and initiated investigation, a police officer said.
He said the police gathered circumstantial evidence and rounded up three persons identified as Suresh Kumar, Anshul Choudhary and Satish Kumar, all residents of the same town for questioning.
After being subjected to questioning, the accused confessed to the crime, he said, adding that they have been booked for murder.

The motive of the murder is yet to be ascertained, he said.
