He further informed that police has also seized a bank receipt against deposit of Rs one lakh in Punjab National Bank, Latehar branch, on November 18 last and a pass book of the bank from Ramjit's residence.
The arrested ultras confessed that money was brought to exchange/deposit in bank on the directive of self-styled Zonal Commander Nakul Yadav and Sub-zonal commander Subhash Yadav.
The Maoists became desperate to exchange their money ever since the government demonetised Rs 500 and 1000 denomination currency notes while the district police has launched a massive search operation to apprehend culprits in pressing need to exchange/deposit the money collected as levy, police said quoting district intelligence reports.
Three mobile hand sets were also recovered from the accused, he said.
