Officials said the incident was reported at about 2 AM at the terminal-III of the airport when on-duty CISF personnel were informed by a Swiss airline that two passengers have been offloaded for allegedly possessing fake passport and visa as they were trying to travel to Toronto via Zurich.
The fliers have been identified as P Kanu Bhai (42) and P Chandrika (35) from Ahmedabad.
"They were assured of employment in Canada once they reached there and were told to act as a couple. On further enquiry, it was revealed that the duo were issued boarding passes in a fraudulent manner by an unauthorised ground handling agent. The said agent and the duo have been handed over to the police for further investigation," they said.
It appears to be a possible case of human trafficking, they added.
